Our puppy Ava appeared at least to me to be untrainable…then we met Cori. We covered things that weren’t even on my radar for training but turned out to be very important for Ava’s development. Cori was very patient and thorough, giving us all the skills we will need to ensure Ava has a wonderful life. Thanks Cori!

  • I use science-based, positive reinforcement training methods. This approach focuses on rewarding desired behaviors, which not only leads to positive behavior change, but also fosters a strong bond between you and your dog. All you need is a treat pouch, treats, and your dog’s leash and collar/harness—no special equipment required.

  • Training sessions typically take place in your home, though some may be held virtually or in a public location, like a park. The location is chosen based on your preferences, goals, and what will yield the best results for you and your dog.

  • While puppy classes can be beneficial, private training offers a more tailored approach to socialization. Socialization is about more than just play with other puppies; it’s about helping your puppy feel confident and comfortable in various environments and with different people, animals, and situations. In private sessions, we’ll prioritize this process, ensuring your puppy is exposed to appropriate social experiences at a pace that suits them. For some puppies, group settings can be overwhelming, and private training allows for a more controlled and positive experience.

  • While I can’t guarantee that your dog or puppy will be fully trained after our program, I will ensure that you have the tools and knowledge to continue making progress. It's important to remember that behavior change is an ongoing process, and results depend on how much effort and consistency you put into training at home. Training is a partnership between you and your dog, and with dedication, you’ll see significant improvements. My goal is to guide and support you every step of the way.

  • Yes, it’s important for you to be present during training sessions. Throughout the training journey, I’ll be coaching you to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to effectively train your dog. The long-term success of the training depends on your ability to apply the techniques consistently at home. By being involved, you’ll learn how to reinforce positive behaviors and address challenges, which leads to lasting results and a stronger bond with your dog.

  • Cori was wonderful with my dog Roxy! And wonderful at taking me step-by-step through the training process with my puppy. She was very attentive to what I wanted for Roxy and very patient with me because I am a first time dog owner.

    Tori M.

  • As first time dog owners, my family and I had no clue how to train and handle our puppy. Cori made sure to explain things in ways that made sense to us and helped us to better understand Hiwa (our dog). Cori was the third trainer we went to for Hiwa but only the first one we saw real results from!...We loved how Cori offered us different ways to tackle Hiwa's problem areas and that we were able to do things in ways that made sense for our particular lifestyle.

    -Sami S.

  • We have a great relationship with our dog. We owe a great deal to Cori for coming over to train her as a puppy. She showed us how to read her cues and communicate our desired result. Our dog was scared of large vehicles and going on walks was near impossible. Our dog now happily walks with us and trusts us.

    Pam W.

  • Cori was so helpful! I have a 4 month old puppy and she's helped me understand how to handle him through positive reinforcement. Definitely recommend if you need help learning how to understand and train your dog.

    Nika

  • Cori was patient and extremely knowledgeable with our puppy Oliver, an Australian Shepherd. Highly recommend Cori. Thank you for your patience and guidance especially when it came to the herding problem. All sessions were great and beneficial and will bring us happiness and success in the years ahead with our puppy Oliver.
